Teambuilds

Singingworks does the best teambuilds EVER. We can do anything from a simple one hour rush of vocal adrenalin with one of our amazing Musical Directors to putting on a large scale public performance complete with orchestra, band, lights, staging, film…we’ll go as far as you want to.

Why our teambuilds bond and lift a team like nothing else

► Performing in public forces people out of their comfort zone – we “feel” how much we need each other when faced with a performance challenge and that fear welds people together. You’ll have never have seen your team more united.

► Singing forces us to reveal our true selves. We have to use our own voice. Our voices are a unique and powerful part of our identity. When you sing together you get to meet your colleagues as they really are: amazing.

► Singing forces all our gifts to the surface. Our “victims” never believe that they are going to be able to perform a BIG piece of music, in at least 4 part harmony, possibly in another language, maybe with moves, in two hours flat……and do it brilliantly.

► Walk out to a richly deserved standing ovation. It’s this journey from panic and fear (when we tell people what they are going to be doing -after we’ve locked the doors!) to euphoria and triumph, that make our performance challenges unforgettable.

► We often do a 20-30 minute training session beforehand where we explain some of the things they will be learning from the performance experience: the 12 ways in which “choir” is a perfect metaphor for a harmonious and effective team; the roles people play in a team; how the inner voice determines performance…

How we work : Teambuilds

► We pick challenging (but well known) music, that’s suits the size and age range of your team and the time available: we’ve done, Bohemian Rhapsody, Verdi, Carmina Burana, Faure…

► Our Musical Directors are not just brilliant musicians but performers who know how to work a crowd, while getting them to learn quickly and have fun…

► We bring in four professional singers (one on each part) to sing with you – this builds early confidence, helps people learn quickly and provides you (and us) with a bit of a safety net…

► We can bring in fabulous musicians to provide a live accompaniment. It could be some strings, percussion, piano’s, a small orchestra, a backing band…

► We can bring in a small film crew to film the event- to put on your website, to send round the office, to put up on You Tube, to send as a “singing” gift to clients…

► We can help you organise T- Shirts, venues, props, staging, lighting…

► We can tailor the event to your budget…

Inner Voice

What does your “Inner voice” tell you?

singingworks892

• Does it tell you “you can” or “you can’t”?

• Does it tell you “they’ll boo” or “they’ll cheer”?

• Does it tell you “whatever happens you’ll still be alive at the end”?

Why your “inner voice” dictates the quality of your performance.

It depends where and when you’re having your event but in the past we’ve performed in the lobby, in the staff canteen, at a big conference for the other delegates, at a celebration dinner, at a concert with a choir of homeless people or just for the camera..…..and we love it when you decide to use your performance to raise a bit of money for your favourite charity and reach out to an even wider audience.
